Paweł Opaliński

Wojciech Beszterda – an artist, photographer, exhibition curator. A graduate from Secondary School of Arts in Gdynia and the Faculty of Multimedia Communication at the University of Arts in Poznań.

Since 1990, he has been a member of the Association of Polish Art Photographers (ZPAF). A member of the Artistic Council of ZPAF in Warsaw (a fourth term).

An author of individual exhibitions and participant of over 250 collective exhibitions in Poland and abroad (Algeria, Austria, Denmark, the Netherlands, Germany, Lithuania, Slovakia, Italy).

Winner of several awards and distinctions in national and international competitions, including Grand Prix of the 14th Polish Landscape Biennale in Kielce, a distinction at the 9th International Biennial of Miniature Art in Częstochowa.

The author and co-organizer of exhibitions, including: “Wymiary czasu i przestrzeni” (Dimensions of Time and Space), BWA Piła, 2013; “Anastazy B. Wiśniewski – Przystanek na żądanie” (Anastazy B. Wiśniewski – Stop on Request) ,BWA Piła, 2015.

A curator of several Interdisciplinary Meetings of Artists, among others: “Między nami” (Between Us) (2009) “Razem/osobno” (Together/Separately) (2010), “Ślad” (Trail), BWA Piła, 2016.

In 2010 he published a book on his work entitled “Wyprawa za horyzont” (An Expedition Across the Horizon), and in 2015 a monographic publication entitled “Anastazy B. Wiśniewski – Przystanek na żądanie” (Anastazy B. Wiśniewski – Stop on Request), co-authored by Beszterda, together with L. Duszka-Kołcz and W. Kanicki.

Since 2003, he has been running the Gallery at the S. Staszic Museum in Piła, where he has presented over 100 individual and collective exhibitions of Polish and foreign artists.
