Daniel Kopacz

He was born in 1980 in Radłów near Tarnów, a locality situated between Dunajec River and a forest, surrounded by ponds and old river beds, close to the remains of the primaeval forest.

Since he was a child, he used to spend a lot of time amongst surrounding fields and forests, hiking and fishing and at the same time observing nature. In 2008, when his adventure with wildlife photography commenced, he started to pursue his dreams of capturing the most interesting observations. Currently – in accordance with the saying “the grass seems greener on the other side of the fence” – he observes and photographs wildlife present in the vicinity of Radłów and shares his observations with young people, thus promoting a passion for nature amongst them and shaping awareness of the natural wealth of the local environment.

He graduated the Faculty of Environmental Engineering at the Cracow University of Technology; his photographs were published in “Głos Przyrody”, “Łowiec Polski”, and other nature magazines. His works have been displayed in individual and collective exhibitions. Among his greatest achievements he lists the First Prize in the “Art of Nature” competition in 2017 (previously second prize in this competition in 2015), and also winning the Second Prize in the Włodzimierz Puchalski competition twice, in 2013 and 2014. He also ranked second in the fifth edition of the nationwide Eko Multimedialny Konkurs (Eco Multimedia Competition).
