Professionally associated with the Nicholaus Copernicus University in Toruń as far back as his studies. In the years 1991-2016, he worked at the Faculty of Biology and Earth Sciences and at the Faculty of Biology and Environmental Protection. Between 1997 and 2016, he was holding a position of a director of the Museum of Natural History. At present, he runs a Photo Lab at the Department for Conservation and Restoration of Paintings and Polychrome Sculpture on the Faculty of Fine Arts at NCU. In his work, he tries to link Science (a doctorate in Biology Sciences) with Art (habilitation for the field of Film Arts). He is also a member of the Association of Polish Art Photographers. He has participated in numerous collective exhibitions and created multiple individual photographic exhibitions. He has invented and runs the International Wildlife Film and Photography Festival “The Art of Nature”.
