2016 – Marcin Kostrzynski Guest of the Festival

Since I was born, I have been a naturalist and all my spare time I used to spend outdoors. I have always dreamed of shooting wildlife films. I wanted to present the wildlife world as I see it – the world, where animals have souls and sensitivity, no lesser than humans’; where our environment is all we have and need to preserve. I have started with TV programmes for children – columns, reportage and game shows. Then, there came time for broadcasts targeted at an older audience. And finally, proper documentary films on nature. Retrospectively, I can tell that children make the most demanding audience, but are also remarkably receptive and sensitive. I have decided to return to broadcasting for the youngest viewers, as I have understood that it is them who would soon decide about the future of our world – the Green World.
